We are playing to help raise money for those who have lost young ones way too soon: The money that we raise will go toward Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness. There is a whole month that is designated toward this and I'm working to get a jumpstart on helping to raise funds! I'm helping another group of friends who we met last year while attending her walk. She has a foundation already set up called the "Missing Alexis" foundation. We met them last year while attending the walk that they have organized, and ever since then we have been in constant contact and started a great friendship. We have a support group that we both go to once a month. It's a great support group! Sad thing is what we had to go through to find each other but sure glad we did. PLEASE check out her website. We will be raising funds to supply "care packages" and I use that term carefully, for parents that have lost a child too soon! In these packages it will include blankets, newborn sleeper hat, journal, memorial candle, and other items for new parents!
Just from meeting the people that we met last year at the walk we hope to continue to work with them to raise funds to keep these "care packages" being made and delivered to the hospitals.
